A Hanukkah Gift For All Of Us

OK, so maybe this isn't exactly a gift, per se, but this news is something that should delight Baseball card collectors, especially Dodger fans, a great deal. Via Beckett, we learn that Dodger lefty and Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax has just signed a autograph deal with Topps for the upcoming 2011 season.

Hooray!!!

Yes, now you can seek out packs of Topps Baseball cards in search of the greatest pitcher to every put on Dodger Blue. Apparently, he will first appear on Topps 2011 Heritage product, and, I imagine, in any other Topps set that includes players from yesteryear.
In all, Koufax appears on only 121 different autograph cards — and just 807 baseball cards of any kind. Of those autographed cards with known or announced print runs, only eight have more than 100 copies available. His two most-plentiful cards — coming from the 1998 Donruss Signature product — had 2,000 copies of each made and yet still sell for as much as $250.
So far, 2011 is looking pretty good.

UPDATE: The below pic comes from the Topps TwitPic site and shows what the 2011 Topps Heritage Sandy Koufax will look like. Nice! Thanks to Steve for pointing this out. I had seen the card on the Beckett site but did not know it was a mock-up from Topps until Steve pointed it out. Now I have to weigh buying the card off eBay for what I imagine will be a substantial price or trying my luck at grabbing one by buying some packs or joining a group break.

Auto Collection: Duke Snider HOF Heroes

Here is another autographed card from my collection. This is a 2005 Donruss Diamond Kings HOF heroes card of Duke Snider. It features both a signature and 2 pieces of a game-used uniform.

eBay: Stadium Club Founding Member

Here is an item you rarely see. On eBay is the following Founding Member membership card for the The Stadium Club at Dodger Stadium. This pass was issued to the Cincinnati Reds.
