Items like this make me harken back to the good old days. Sure, O'Malley had his faults. One of which was a tightfisted wallet. Nevertheless, he treated the team like his family and, in the process, earned the respect of Southern California. Oh how I wish for those days.Anyway, here is a really cool vintage program from St. Patrick's Day, 1953. If features a great "green shaded" photo of Walter O'Malley at the center. It comes directly from the the family of Robert Chew who was the personal pilot for O'Malley. I figure this was given out during his annual St. Patrick's Day party during Spring Training in Vero Beach.
