- Stan Musial received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, via TCPalm.
- Here is a great photo of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in their Baseball uniforms. For those who don't know, Hope was a part owner of the Indians and Crosby was a part owner of the Pirates. I have a handful of publicity photos from this photo event in my collection. I will have to dig them out and scan them. Photo comes from "If Charlie Parker Was a Gunslinger..."
- Roberto is everywhere the Dodgers are. Check out his report on the LA River clean up on Monday; Part 1; Part 2.
- Also, check out a post from Linda, at LEAVes of Dodger Blue, about her time as a part of the LA River clean-up crew. Also, luvthedodgers23 has a bunch of pics up on twitter; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
- For you musical enjoyment, here is Woodrow Buddy Johnson & Count Basie with their 1949 hit "Did You See Jackie Robinson Hit That Ball?"
