The Beatles Contest Continues

Woo Hoo! Wow, what a prize package. I want to extend a big thanks to Jesse at EMI for providing these CD's to give away. I'm half wishing I kept this on the downlow so that I could have pocketed these for myself.
As I posted a couple of days ago, I would take the first CD I pulled out of the box as the prize for one of you. That happens to be the above CD- Magical Mystery Tour. It's newly remastered and includes a mini-documentary that I'm sure will enlighten and provide great enjoyment to the winner.

Also, there is still time to enter the drawing for the Magical Mystery Tour CD. All you have to do is go to my previous post and make a comment. Go here.

As for the remaining 4 CD's I will post a daily contest each morning, from Saturday to Tuesday. It will probably be a mix between a drawing and a contest where a trivia question will be asked and the first person to provide the correct answer will be the winner. To wet your whistle, check out the 4 CD's below.

Here is a large, 11 x 14, team photograph of the 1916 Brooklyn Robins that once was held within the personal belongings of Hall of Famer Casey Stengel. This team was the first Brooklyn pennant winner and it is currently on auction at Memory Lane.

  • Do you remember Pasqual Perez. My mind can't quite recall any specific incidents, but I generally remember his as a big a-hole on the diamond. Fortunately, Chris Jaffe at Harball Times reminds us of one event that really boggles the mind. Man-O-Live, the 80's were crazy.
Perez, however, had no interest in having someone fight on his behalf. After ending the inning, Perez motioned to (Reggie) Smith he’d meet him under the stands—pronto. Smith and Perez both raced through their clubhouses and into the tunnels, meeting up behind home plate under the stands. Both dugouts emptied following them. Players came, coaches came, even managers Chuck Tanner and Tommy Lasorda came.
  • The Day That Damned the Dodgers, from Lee Jenkins at SI.
