Back in the spring of 1982 when a Star Wars fan Mike Davis heard rumors that production on a movie called Blue Harvest: Horror Beyond Imagination was out in the desert, filming in a Southern California region known as Buttercup Valley. Mike decided to go camping in the desert nearby and check it out. He started hiking with his friends and this is what they found.

Do you know what's better than a vintage press photo of a star player? A photo of exuberant fans. Here is a October 1, 1941 press photo from the first game of the World Series between the Yankees and Dodgers. It was held at Yankee Stadium. From the press clipping on the reverse.
The weather was doubtful before the first game of the World Series between Brooklyn and New York started today at Yankee Stadium. So the fellows at top came dressed for anything, from a blizzard to sunshine or extra innings that might run in the dinner jacket hours.
