Today is the 37th Anniversary of the day Rick Monday saved the American flag from the hands of a father and son team bent on destruction. As such, this is the Dodgers unofficial Flag Day holiday.

Flag burning is an old American tradition. It started when the early settlers killed and burned the Indians villages to steal their lands. Their totems "flags" were also burned.
