As I'm sure you recall, late last season Vin Scully first indicated that he knew, or at least heard about, twitter. It was during an early August game against the Cubs when he took to the airwaves and diligently got AJ Ellis trending nationally. If you don't remember that then watch the video here.
Well, this evening Vin Scully, in lieu of broadcasting the Dodgers/Yankees game in New York, took over the Dodgers twitter account, and he did not disappoint. If you missed it, have no fear. I decided to catalog the best of them below for you to enjoy below. Check it out.
Hi everybody and a pleasant Wednesday evening to you, wherever you may be. -#VinScully

No game would be the same without his signature greeting.
I broadcast the Yankee/ Dodger World Series in '53, '55, '56, '63 and '81. No way I could have imagined tweeting a game. -#VinScully

The world sure is changing Vin, ain't it?
Ebbets Field is gone. Old Yankee Stadium is gone & I haven't been to the new one. New York is basically a city of memories for me #VinScully

It's Time For Dodger Baseball!

Vin's "Vin Cast" is off to a great start.
Upon telling Vin he is already trending in the United States, "Wow! Hot diggity dog. Well, Puig just bunted for a base hit." -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 19, 2013
And it appears that the Dodgers were just as excited about the "Vin Cast" as everybody else.
The #Dodgers must be inspired by Twitter -- they've had four straight hits. They know they're on Twitter. -#VinScully

My very first game was an exhibition game in Vero and I did 2 innings. Thank goodness I wasn’t on the air when there was a triple play (1/2)
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 19, 2013
I love hearing about Vin's greatest memories.
Red Barber did it so effortlessly that I was overwhelmed. I thought, “Oh my gosh, I’ll never be able to do that.” -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 19, 2013
How wrong you were, Vin. Little did you know that you'd become one of the greats!
The scariest in broadcasting for foul balls, old Briggs Stadium. The booth was so close to home you could hear the hitter grunt. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
Briggs Stadium was where the old Detroit Tigers used to play.
I think Andre Ethier has done a really good job in Center Field. Especially for someone who has played Right Field for years. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
No doubt, Vin is a team player.
Now here's Puig, watch his head. That last at-bat he was swinging wildly. Whoa, did that get him? Yeah. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
Vin tweeting about Puig seems so new age.
Yasiel Puig has just stolen second. He can sure do it all. HBP, stolen base, ground out -- now he's at 3rd base. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
We're as marvelled at Yasiel as you are, Vin.
Why MLB? "I did the NFL for about 8 years, PGA for 14 and a few of tennis matches. I played sandlot ball. I played in college." -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
Vin even started answering some questions on twitter.
I once played against George H. W. Bush. He played 1B for Yale, and I played CF for Fordham. We both went 0-for-3. #TrueStory -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
I never knew they played against each other. It really is a small world.
Holy Mackerel, it's Puig! He is unbelievable.-#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
And more Puig!
Yasiel Puig has got a bunt single, a stolen base, and a home run. He is unbelievable. His talent is absolutely breathtaking. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
I’ve never seen anybody do what he has done in such a short period. He’s been remarkable, a 5-tool player who constantly shows the tools -VS
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
Ever the optimist!
Kemp back, and Crawford back, to go along with Gonzalez, Ramirez and Puig. I have to believe they’ll make a run. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
Unfortunately, we are nearing the end of the game.
I'm with them in spirit, but also in body. I'm thinking let's get them out of there so they can get some sleep. -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
Humble, as ever.
In response to all of the 'thank you's,' "Well, I don't think I really did very much. Thank you all." -#VinScully
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 20, 2013
No Vin, Thank You!
Thanks so much for joining me on Twitter and good night. -#VinScully
