A tradition that had been abandoned many moons ago will be returning to Dodger Stadium this coming Saturday for a second straight year. Shortly after the last pitch of Saturday's game against the Giants, the Dodgers will host an 2-inning Old-Timers Game.
The regular ballgame starts at 1:10 PM, so I would figure that the Old-Timers Game would be getting started about 3 hours later - 4:10 PM, or so. Go here for more information.
The game will feature many former players who most of you will remember. It's a "who's who" of beloved Dodger brethren, and a rare chance to see so many former Dodgers in one place.BTW, the first 40,000 fans in attendance to the game will receive a vintage styled Dodgers pennant. See it on the right. Also, Tommy Davis, Charlie Hough, “Sweet” Lou Johnson, Manny Mota, Don Newcombe and Jerry Reuss will be on hand and a part of Old-Timers pre-game introductions.
