Celebrating the Kings Victory at Dodger Stadium

Los Angeles is slowly becoming a bit of a hockey town - at least during the playoffs it is.

So, it shouldn't be a surprise that even during a tense battle between division rivals Dodger fans do some celebrating at Dodger Stadium when the Kings scored in overtime.

Check out the below video from the Dodgers capturing the moment.  Vin Scully had some wonderful words:
What A Team
What A Year
What a Finish

And here are some more videos taken by fans from the moment.  Directly below is Bobby Crosby of DodgerFilms.

WooHoo! The Stanley Cup is Ours!

What an amazing evening!

Being there to watch the Kings win the Cup for a second time was everything I thought it would be.  It was phenomenal, incredible and glorious.

The stress I had felt coming into the game immediately transformed into a state of wonder and awe.  Those worrisome butterfly's had been unleashed, and now they were flying around the arena to the sights and sounds of another championship in Los Angeles.

We Won the Cup!

Check out some photos that I somehow had the presence of mind to take.

The banner on the top right was situated right in front of our seats.  Below is the aftermath of Alec Martinez's Cup clinching goal and the ensuing handshakes.

Here comes that shiny symbol of hockey splendor.  And yes, I did "boo" Commissioner Bettman.  Boo!

Captain Dustin Brown lifts up the Cup for the second time.  Yeah!

This is the best photo of all.  The 2014 Stanley Cup Champions take their official team photo.

  • This is not good news.  Via Jon Weisman at Dodger Insider, Chad Billingsley now has a partial tear of his flexor tendon.  Does this mean more surgery?
  • Via Eric Stephen at True Blue LA, both Carl Crawford and Juan Uribe are progressing from their injuries.
  • Josh Tucker at Dodger Insider writes, "A Reagan Forum with Vin Scully."  Josh shares a video of Vin speaking at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
  • Via Mark Saxon at ESPNLosAngeles.com, "Kershaw solves the Arizona puzzle."
“It was very stressful. There were guys on base the whole night," Kershaw said. "That’s a good team. I’ve said it earlier. Their offense is tough to go through."
