2015 Panini America & Topps National Convention Promos - The Dodger Cards

With the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago having concluded last weekend I figured it would be a good time to take a look at some of the Dodger cards available through various wrapper redemption and VIP card giveaways at both Panini America and Topps.  Check them all out below.  BTW, this might not be a complete listing.

Below I take a look at the Panini cards that are available.  Unfortunately, a complete checklist isn't available, but Cardboard Connection does it's best to catalog everything they know about.  Here is a checklist for the wrapper redemption cards, and here is a checklist for the VIP Party cards.

Panini VIP Promo Set

Panini gave a limited 6-card set to all attendees who were a part of the conventions VIP program.  The set includes Kris Bryant, Marcus Mariota, Jahlil Okafor, Karl Anthony Towns, Jameis Winston and Joc Pederson.

Panini Wrapper Redemption

These cards were available within silver packs as a part of a wrapper redemption program during the show.  The Joc Pederson card is numbered to only 499 copies.

Panini VIP Party

Panini America hosted a special party for VIP collectors at Soldier Field that featured several special guest; including Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Mike Tyson.  Check out a post about the party here at Panini's blog.  Invited attendees received gold packs and they are very limited.  The Base cards are directly.  I also have pics of the relic cards below.  Autographed cards also exist for Pederson, but I have yet to see Kershaw autographed cards (he has an exclusive contract with Topps so this card may not exist).

Topps VIP Promo Set

Like Panini, Topps gave out a five-card set to all convention VIP attendees.  The set includes Ernie Banks, Al Kaline, Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays.  They are fashioned after 1953 Bowman cards that "never were."

Topps Wrapper Redemption

In celebration of Allen & Ginter's 10th anniversary Topps wrapper redemption cards are limited die-cut A&G cards.

Topps High-Tek 5x7 Set

This card is part of a complete set that was exclusively sold at the convention at the Topps booth.  It is the Topps High-Tek brand and measures 5x7.  Only 200 set were created.
