I'm getting sick and tired of reading about idiot fans - not only at Dodger Stadium, but elsewhere - committing acts of violence at games. It's crazy, stupid and has no place in the world today. So, I am happy to read that the police will be more proactive in rooting out the bad guys. Via a story at the NY Daily News by Leonard Greene, "LAPD officers to don Mets jerseys at Dodger Stadium as ‘hundreds’ of undercover cops patrol crowd to prevent another brutal playoff beating."
That's right folks. That guy sitting next to you or roaming the parking lot in Mets 'blue and orange' just might be an undercover cop.
"Literally hundreds of Los Angeles police will be out there, both in uniform and undercover," said LAPD Commander Andrew Smith.It's sad that it has to come to this, but after last weeks disgraceful incident this has to be done.
"We have them dressed in undercover gear so they look just like a fan of one or another team's, so people will never know whether the person standing next to them with a Mets jersey is an LAPD officer or not," he said.
