The next homestand starts on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Below are some odds and ends for this upcoming homestand.
The Cuban Dog will be available for this homestand only against the Rays at the Extreme Loaded Dog concession areas located on the field, loge and reserve levels. It features a quarter-pound, all-beef hot dog topped with smoked ham, pulled roasted pork, Swiss cheese, yellow mustard and pickle chips. Also, a new menu item was also added, the Fielder’s Choice, a fried dough baseball glove coated with cinnamon sugar topped with Spumoni ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, raspberry sauce and whipped cream. It is available at Tommy Lasorda’s Trattoria located in the right-field plaza.
The eighth 2016 issue of the new Dodger Insider magazine, featuring Adrian Gonzalez on the cover, will be available at Dodger Stadium. (see it on the left). The Dodgers merged their previously separate Playbill and Dodger Insider magazines into one publication (at least 80 pages per issue) with a new edition available each homestand. They are distributed at auto gates (one per vehicle) and via Fan Services for those who use alternate transportation.

Tuesday's game starts at 7:10 PM. Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM. The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a Kenta Maeda bobblehead. See it on the right.
“It is very special that my first Japan Night at Dodger Stadium will be held on my bobblehead night,” said Dodgers pitcher Kenta Maeda. “I look forward to celebrating it with the world-class performances by the high-profile guests representing our country."
Kenichi Ebina, an internationally recognized Japanese dancer, will perform on the field pregame. Ebina, who is known for his gravity-defying movements and unique dance styles, was the winner of the eighth season of “America’s Got Talent” and has performed for Madonna, Cirque du Soleil and several international TV shows.
The Japanese national anthem will be performed by ATSUSHI, the lead vocalist for the Japanese dance and vocal mega-group EXILE. The renowned music group has won numerous awards, including the Japanese Record Award for Song of the Year, the Japan Gold Disc Awards and the MTV Video Music Award. ATSUSHI is also known as a very successful solo artist and will become the first artist to have performed a solo tour at all six major dome stadiums in Japan this year. The Nisei Foundation, who puts on the oldest and longest-running Japanese-American Festival of its kinds, will have its Nisei Week Court on hand as well.
Judith Hill, a soul singer and songwriter of Japanese and African-American descent, will perform the national anthem of the U.S. She has extensive experience as a backup vocalist for music legends including Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. Hill’s story as a backup singer was featured in the acclaimed documentary “20 Feet From Stardom” which won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Music Film.
Also, for this game only the Dodgers will be offering a Japan Dog at the Extreme Loaded Dog concession areas located on the field, loge and reserve levels. It features an all-beef dog drizzled with teriyaki sauce and wasabi aioli and topped with sesame seed and sliced green onions.
- The Military Hero of the Game is retired U.S Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Robert Izumi of Belvedere, who served in both the U.S. Army and Air Force. After Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor, Izumi and more than 110,000 Japanese Americans were incarcerated in internment camps in the early 1940s. Two years later, a teacher pulled Izumi from Manzanar Internment Camp so he could finish his education. In 1944, Izumi joined the Army, where officials sent him to the segregated 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Izumi transferred to the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, which included Easy Company, the unit known as the Band of Brothers. A book and HBO mini-series were based on this company. Izumi transferred to the Army Air Corps in 1945 and in 1947, he joined the Air Force, where he served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was discharged as a chief master sergeant in 1975. His decorations include the World War II Victory Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Distinguished Unit Badge with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster and a Bronze Star Medal.

- The Military Hero of the Game is former U.S. Army Sergeant David Harman of Torrance. Harman joined the Army as an infantryman in 1992. His first duty station was in Panama, where he met and married his wife, Jennifer, who was also stationed in Panama serving in the Army. Harman served one tour in the Middle East as a Patriot Missile Team Leader with Air Defense Artillery. Upon returning home, he was seriously injured on duty, resulting in medical retirement from active duty in 2000. His military achievements include earning the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge and Air Assault Badge.
