A Corey Seager 2016 Topps Now Playoff Card -- #551

My timing for a little vacation couldn't be more any poorer.  Not only did it conflict with the Dodgers NLDS series against the Nationals, but it also impeded my ability to post about the newest 2016 Topps Now Dodger card.  Following the Dodgers thrilling Game 1 victory on Friday Topps released the above card highlighting Corey Seager's first playoff home run.  You can check it out here.

Per the description on the reverse:
Seager and the Dodgers had a tough pitching assignment in Max Scherzer for Game 1, but they were up to the task as they came away with the 4-3 victory.  Seager, the second batter of the game, sent a solo shot to deep center and helped jumpstart the LA offense.  "To get that first run is huge... it gives the guys in the dugout a chance to exhale a little bit" manager Dane Roberts said of Corey's blast.
Per AJ Cassavell at MLB.com:
"He doesn't surprise me anymore," said Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw. "That's him. It doesn't matter the situation. He's kind of shown that maturity doesn't really have an age. He handles it all pretty well."

According to Statcast™, Friday's blast was the third longest home run of Seager's career. His 109 mph exit velocity was tied for the seventh-highest he's recorded on a batted ball this season.
The print run for this card is 869 copies.
