Roy Campanella as a Saint Paul Saints
I've seen Campy in a Brooklyn, Montreal and various other Negro League uniforms, but this is the first time I've seen him wearing the uniform of the American Association Saint Paul Saints.
Featured above is an 1948 St. Paul Pioneer Press photograph of Hall of Fame catcher Roy Campanella, and it is currently on auction at Mile High Card Company (Link Here). According to the listing it was printed in the St. Paul Pioneer Press that year when word got around that Campy had been promoted to Brooklyn.
As you may know, Campanella started the year on the Dodgers in 1948, but was soon sent to Saint Paul. While there he was reunited with his Nashua manager Walter Alston.
2016 Topps Museum Collection - The Dodgers Canvas Collection Cards
After sharing pics of both the base and the various Dodgers relic cards available in 2016 Topps Museum, I thought I would take a step back to focus on just one card. Featured directly below is the Clayton Kershaw Canvas Collection card. As you can see it is an reprint of an original drawing by Mayumi Seto.
Not too shabby, eh?
As always, Topps has also inserted several original canvas collection art cards into packs. Unfortunately, the original to the above Kershaw card has yet to be unearthed, but there are others out there that have. Check out another Kershaw art card directly below. See the eBay auction listing here.

Blog Kiosk: 4/19/2016 - Dodgers Links - Puig, Wood and the Ellis'
To hammer the message home, Yasiel Puig shared a pic on Twitter of him standing alone on a plane with the caption,
"I'm early, already on the plane, ready to fly, where are my teammates? Let's go!"In the early going, Puig seems like a changed man. He has been punctual and responsive, and for now it has translated into positive results on the field. Hopefully, this is a sign that he has truly turned over a new leaf.
Furthermore, it might be fair to say that the recent changes in the Dodgers coaching staff has lead to this. The new leadership allows Yasiel to begin anew and he is obviously making the appropriate effort. Per Matthew Moreno at Dodger Blue:
“I don’t think I’ve had much to do with it. Obviously, the player has to buy in, and Yasiel has been completely open,” Roberts said on Saturday. “He gets all the credit, he’s playing well.”On a fun note, immediately following Puig's tweet of the above photo teammate Kiké Hernandez responded with his own tweet:
@YasielPuig #WhoWroteAllThisForYou?!Never change, Kiké! Below are more links to check out:
