Check the Cards of Dodgers 36th Pick Jordan Sheffield

Along with Gavin Lux, the Dodgers supplemental pick, 36th overall, Jordan Sheffield also has a bunch of Baseball cards to chase after.  Unlike Gavin, Jordan's cards were made by Topps and Panini America.  In fact, he has cards from when he was a member of Team USA's Under-16 ballclub in 2011.  That year, both Topps and Panini included several prep ballplayers within some of their regular Baseball card brands.  Check them out below.  If I missed any cards of his please let me know.

Dodgers Chose RHP Dustin May with their 3rd Round Draft Pick - Welcome to the Blue!

For their first pick of the day, in the 3rd Round of the 2016 Draft, the Dodgers select 18-year old right-handed pitcher Dustin May.  He went to Northwest High School in Justin, Texas.  Dustin is a big kid at 6' 6" tall and was slated to go to Texas Tech.  You can follow him on twitter here: @d_maydabeast.  Per an MLB.com scouting report:

It's amazing that a high school kid can already have a licensed Baseball cards by the time they are drafted, but that's the world we live in today.  These kids are are treated thoroughbreds, and they are scouted so heavily card manufacturers are happy to satisfy collectors demand to chase after the next big thing.  So naturally, the Dodgers high school shortstop prospect they drafted yesterday, Gavin Lux, already has several cards to call his own.  Check them all out below.  If I missed anything please let me know.

As you can see, Gavin Lux played in the Perfect Game showcase event in 2015.  As a result, he has been featured in several sets by Leaf.

Dodgers Pick Mitchell White in the 2nd Round - Welcome to the Blue!

With their 2nd round pick last night, 65th overall, the Dodgers selected right-handed pitcher Mitchell White.  He is 21-years old, 6' 4" tall and a finance major at Santa Clara University.  White had Tommy John surgery during his senior year of high school, and redshirted the next year in Santa Clara.  In 2015 he came out of the bullpen and closed games.  Then became a starter this season.  Per Cary Osborne at Dodger Insider:

He redshirted his true freshman year in 2014 after having Tommy John surgery in 2013. As a redshirt sophomore in 2016, he had a 3.72 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 118 strikeouts in 92 innings. On May 14, he struck out 15 batters and allowed one run in a complete game against the University of Portland.

"ROOKIES AT EBBETS FIELD.  New York: Gathered for the last day of Dodger workouts, April 16th, before the official opening game of the season against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 17th are four rookies a good look at Ebbets Field.  They are, left to right: Charlie Thompson; Don Drysdale; Gino Cimoli; and Charlie Neal.  Neal has earned himself a starting position as second baseman in the opener."

• This Day in Dodgers History: In 1988 John Shelby's hitting streak is stopped at 24 games.  He batted .360 (32-for-89) with two home runs and 12 RBI during the streak that lasted from May 14-June 9.  His endeavors propelled the Dodgers into first place - where they stayed the remainder of the season.  In 2012 Dodgers outfielder Bobby Abreu surpassed Mickey Mantle on the all time hit list at 2,416.
