Diamondbacks Series Starts on Friday - Stadium Giveaways and Other Stuff!

The next series starts on Friday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.   Below are some odds and ends for this upcoming homestand.

I am considering discontinuing this series of post focused on homestand information. Unfortunately, the Dodgers will likely not be providing the same kind of detail they had in the past about each upcoming homestand. So, the below info does not include, for the most part, first pitch, pregame ceremony, Military Hero of the Game, and other interesting information.

Friday, April 14th at 7:10 PM

Zack Greinke vs. Clayton Kershaw

SNLA / AM 570 (Eng.), KTNQ 1020 AM (Span.)

Friday's game starts at 7:10 PM. Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM. It is Friday Night Fireworks, so fans will be able to go down onto the field after the game to watch the spectacle. The night's theme will be the music of Billy Joel.

It is Billy Joel Night at Dodger Stadium. As a twist, fans who order this ticket package will receive a game ticket and a ticket to the Billy Joel concert at Dodger Stadium on May 13, 2017. If not already sold out go here for information. It is sold out.

Saturday, April 15th at 6:10 PM

SNLA / AM 570 (Eng.), KTNQ 1020 AM (Span.)

It is Jackie Robinson Day throughout the league today.  The game starts at 6:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 3:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 4:10 PM.  There will be a special dedication ceremony in the left field reserve level for the Jackie Robinson statue -- the first statue at Dodger Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM and is NOT open to the public. In attendance will be Rachel, Sharon and David Robinson, Dodger owner Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Dodger President & CEO Stan Kasten, Vin Scully, Tommy Lasorda, Sandy Koufax, Don Newcombe, Jaime Jarrín and Frank Robinson, and emceed by Kevin Frazier.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica Jackie Robinson Statue.  See it on the right.

Sunday, April 16th at 1:10 PM

SNLA/AM 570 (Eng.), KTNQ 1020 AM (Span.)

Sunday's game starts at 1:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 10:40 AM, and stadium gates open at 11:10 AM.  The first 12,000 ticketed kids 14 & under will receive a Kids Kenta Maeda Fathead.
