Just because these two guys crack me up.
Both Kike Hernández and Ken Jeong ham it up for Dodger cameraman Jon SooHoo. Go here to check out more pics from yesterdays game from Jon.

- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1919 Casey Stengel showed why he is a legend. The winter before he was traded by the Dodgers to the Pirates. In this afternoons game between these two clubs at Ebbets Field Casey got up to the plate in the 7th inning and gave local Brooklyn fans the bird - by that I mean he got to the plate, took off his hat, and perched on his head was a sparrow who dutifully flew away. Needless to say, it was amazing. To the right is a 1971 pic of him re-creating the gag for an Old-Timers Game in LA. In 1979 seven Dodgers' hit a home run during their 17-6 victory over the Reds - tying a club record. In 2014 Josh Beckett throws a no-hitter against the Phillies in Philadelphia.
- Happy Birthday, Joe Judge, Joey Eischen & Sean Maloney!
- Video: Hear from Dodgers manager Dave Roberts after their 6-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night. (video link)
- Per Joshua Thornton at MLB.com; "Pederson still sore after collision with Puig."
"I think that was expected," he said, "but we're going to take that day by day.
...
"We're continuing to monitor the concussion piece," Roberts said. "As of now, he's sort of passed all of those tests. Hopefully he'll be back. Even optimistically, he'll be back in there tomorrow."
- Did you notice this? Last night Yasmani Grandal came up to the plate in the first inning wearing the wrong batting helmet. Per Paul Lukas at UniWatch; "Left Is Right and Right Is Wrong."

- As you surely know, Rich Hill was not good last night. Per Ken Gurnick at MLB.com:
"Bad outing," said Hill, who walked a career-high seven while losing to the Cardinals, 6-1. "I take full responsibility for that. Gave them the game. It's unacceptable. It's really a tough thing to swallow."
...
"I know he's an emotional pitcher, but you've got to compose yourself in some capacity and still execute pitches," said Roberts. "It wasn't about execution, it was continue to focus on executing and not get too frustrated by the strike zone. I'm just so accustomed to seeing Rich with command of curveball. He can really manipulate, and today he had no feel. Changing arm angles, but couldn't find any consistency tonight."
- Blowout Buzz shares a bunch of preview pics from 2017 Topps High Tek Baseball; including the Corey Seager card on the right. Go here to check out more pics. This set is slated to be released on November 1st.
- Awesome! Per Bill Shaikin at the LA Times; " Q&A Homer Simpson spills all about the Baseball Hall of Fame in exclusive interview."
Q: Darryl Strawberry took your position in right field. He had made the All-Star team eight straight years through 1991, then he played for your team in 1992 and never again made the All-Star team. What kind of curse did you put on him?
A: He went from the Mets to the Dodgers. That's curse enough for anybody.
