There's just no stopping the Belly-train. Last night he went on a homer barrage that was for the ages. He cranked out two home runs -- including the game winner -- to record his fourth multi-homer effort in his short major league career. In fact, he accomplished the multi-homer feat faster than anybody ever has -- in 45 days. In celebration of this new record Topps has issued the above 2017 Topps Now card that will be available until tomorrow morning. Go here to check it out and order.
Per Jordan Bastian at MLB.com:
"We all knew that he was great," Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw said. "He's confident, but you would never know it talking with him. He's very humble, goes about his business the right way. But, when he steps in the box, he thinks he's going to do damage, and he's done it lately."Per the description on the reverse of the card:
Cody Bellinger connected for two home runs, his 16th and 17th of the season, powering a 7-5 Dodgers win over the Indians. He first broke a tie in the eighth inning and the second put the game away in the ninth. This marked the fourth multi-home run game of the year for Bellinger, making him the first in MLB history to do so within the first 45 games of a career.
UPDATE: the total print run for the above Bellinger card is 1,418 copies.
