Justin "The Animal" Turner played hero last night when he grounded a seeing-eye-single through the left side of the infield to propel the Dodgers towards victory. It was the fifth Dodger win in a row and 71st victory this season -- best in the Majors.
As you've no doubt come to expect, a walk-off win means a new Topps Now card. Featured here is Justin Turner's first Topps Now card of the season. Go here to check it out and order. Per Rhett Bollinger and Ken Gurnick at MLB.com:
"J.T. hasn't had a lot of hits lately, but he's feeling good at the plate and any time the game's on the line, I'll take my chances with J.T.," said manager Dave Roberts, whose club has 29 comeback wins and a Major League-best eight walk-off wins.Since the All-Star break Turner has been slashing .275/.362/.400/.762, and currently leads the league in both batting average and on-base percentage at .362/.456. Per the description on the reverse:
Justin Turner capped a thrilling Los Angeles Dodgers comeback with a walk-off single scoring Austin Barnes with two out in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-5 walk-off win over the Minnesota Twins. With the win, the Dodgers completed a sweep of their series with the Twins and added to their five-game win streak.UPDATE: The print run for this card is 273 copies.
