Brandon McCarthy rebounded nicely yesterday afternoon after having given up six earned runs during his last start in San Francisco. Against the Marlins he went six innings, allowed just three hits, one earned run, a walk and struck out five. Heck, he hadn't allowed a base runner until two outs into the fifth inning. Per
Austin Laymance and Will Laws at MLB.com:
"I liked his aggressiveness. He filled up the strike zone and was getting ahead of hitters with the fastball, the breaking ball," Roberts said. "He was relentless today."
