2017 Dodgers Sports Crate - September Edition - Joc Pederson
The fifth and final edition of the 2017 Sports Crate has just arrived, and it features Joc Pederson. Like last month, the action figure is not included in the box and should be coming at a later date. When? I dunno. Check out the pamphlet on the left that gives us a peek at what the Pederson figurine will look like.
You can also see the fifth and final card in the Dodgers 2017 Sports Crate set above. Go here to check out all of my past post on this set.
Probably the least useful item in this crate is a Dodger lanyard (bottom left) -- considering most tickets are now largely virtual (online) nowadays. It also doesn't come with the clear plastic piece meant to hold tickets, and such. Also in the crate is a vintage looking Wright & Ditson LA Dodgers t-shirt (bottom right).

Can you just feel the intensity in that team meeting above? These guys are focused and prepared to take on the Diamondbacks, and I, for one, can't wait for Clayton Kershaw's first pitch to cross the plate tonight.

- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1963 the Dodgers completed their sweep of the NY Yankees in the World Series for their third championship in franchise history. Sandy Koufax got the win and complete game in the 2-1 victory. In 1965 Sandy Koufax sat out his scheduled start in the World Series against the Twins due to Yom Kippur. Watch a short video about it here. Don Drysdale pitched instead and lost mightily, 8-2. He remarked after the game:
"Hey, skip, bet you wish I was Jewish today, too."
- Happy Birthday, Jack Dunn, Jack Snyder, Harry Heitmann, Jerry Grote, Jerry Stephenson, Alfredo Griffin & Scott Schebler!
