I Took a Dodgers Pop Up Museum Tour - Here are My Pics

This should have been posted weeks ago, so apologize for the tardiness. During the recent Dodgers FanFest I had the pleasure of joining the Pop-Up Museum Tour hosted by former Dodger catcher Steve Yeager. Below are a bunch of pics from that afternoon; including a photo with "Boomer" himself.

First of all, there is only one opportunity left to see this little museum at Dodger Stadium -- this weekend from March 2nd to 4th. It is located at the "Top of the Park" store in the Top Deck area of the stadium. Go here for more information.

Now, on to the photos. Click on any pic to embiggen.

Just about everything you could imagine was tightly packing into this museum. In the photos above you see a large variety of collectibles and memorabilia sold or given out to fans throughout the years. The framed photos featuring giant heads of the Dodgers is known as 1963 Dodgers Pin-Ups set, and they were originally sold at concession stands. There are also a bunch of things here that I would love to add to my own collection. I've always wanted to get one of those giant straw hats seen in the pic at the very top, as well as, the vintage ashtrays.

On the below left is Don Drysdale's commemorative trophy given away to all players for their participation in the Roy Campanella game played at the LA Coliseum. To its right are game-used uniform and roster cards for the recent 2017 NLCS matchup against the Cubs.

Below are more game-used jersey's and a look at Steve Garvey's 1974 MVP Award.

The crystal cup is Orel Hershiser's 1988 Sporting News Major League Player of the Year Award. To its right is Sandy Koufax's 1963 game-used glove.

On the bottom right is Don Drysdale's 1962 Cy Young Award.

This next item is really great. Below is the groundbreaking shovel used for Dodger Stadium.

The baseball below comes directly from the Ball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. It is a game-used ball from Koufax's 1962 no-no against the Mets.

And below is a game-used ball from the final game of the Dodgers four game sweep of the Yankees during the 1963 World Series.

Below are is more memorabilia featuring Don Drysdale. As you may recall, in 2016 the Drysdale estate sold a bunch of stuff to the hobby, and noted collection Gary Cypres ended up buying a bunch of that stuff. Much of the items seen in this museum is from his personal collection. You can check out my posts on the Drysdale auction here.

Below is a look at Cody Bellinger's fantastic rookie campaign in memorabilia form -- encased behind glass in a faux clubhouse locker.

I loved checking out the model of Dodger Stadium that once resided within the offices of Walter O'Malley.

So many game-used jersey's!

The best jersey of all to see was a Koufax gamer, seen on the bottom left. I cannot begin to explain how rare this piece is. Only a handful are known to exist and when one does come up for sale it easily sells in the six-figures.
