How did I miss this?
For whatever reason the existence of this newest Dodgers' Topps Now card escaped me. So, it's way too late to purchase it directly from Topps. On the other hand, with 1,323 copies ordered I suspect that anybody who wanted one got one.
Featured above is a 2018 Topps Now card focused on Dodgers rookie starting pitcher Walker Buehler, and it celebrates his impressive first start as a Dodgers. Per Rowan Kavner at Dodger Insider:
The top prospect said he didn’t think any of the pitches in his arsenal were “really, really good” Friday. The fact that he felt that way while still tossing five scoreless innings speaks to his potential.
“In a situation like this, it’d be great to go and dominate,” Buehler said. “But to put up zeroes and to come out of the game unscathed is the biggest thing. The more and more comfortable you get here, I think the fastball command will come.”Considering his phenomenal start in Monday I have no doubt that there'll be more Topps Now cards in Buehler's future.
