Seven homers! All solos!
The last one was hit by Justin Tuner in the 10th inning to win the game, 8-7. Per Ken Gurnick at MLB.com:
"I was just trying to hit the ball on the barrel," said Turner, who was 2-for-16 on the weeklong swing through Chicago and New York. "It's been a whole road trip of getting beat, getting jammed. What a day, a bunch of home runs and sweep a series against the Mets on the road. It will make for a happy flight going home."Photo above via Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Insider. Nowadays, most interns usually work 40 hours per week and are paid minimum wage. But for full-time staff members, the 80–90 hour weeks are still alive at the ballpark. DeVries was one of those college kids who took the stipend and worked hard to get his foot in the door. Now, he is one of those full-time staff members — Assistant General Manager of Marketing and Communications.

I don't consider myself from this world. Sometimes I think I come from Mars because some of the knocks I take on the field that would leave some of my teammates, or any other person, in pain don't hurt me. I can take it and keep playing. When my trainer gives me a massage, I tell him, "Hey, I don't feel anything." He says, "Look, I've treated many clients, and all I have to do is just touch them and they are screaming. With you I have to keep going." Even he realizes and says, "You must not be from here."

After signing with the Dodgers ahead of the 2014 season, Turner brushed aside any possible bitterness or hostility toward the Mets. “It was five years ago. I’m in a good place now, I’m happy with where I’m at. It is what it is,” he said Friday.

Then one day in May, Ekus, who subs in the Warwick district about three times a week, brought the ball to the high school. “I know it’s hard for teachers to keep up with everything,” Ekus said. “I thought it might be useful for someone teaching about Jackie Robinson and about that time.”
