We now enter the 14th week of the Topps Living Baseball Set. So far, only one Dodger has been made available for sale. In mid-April Topps released the Chris Taylor card (see that here). This week, Topps is issuing the Jackie Robinson card, and as you might have guessed it is #42. See it above and below. Go here to check it out and order. It will only be available for direct online purchase from Topps over the next seven days.
As you may know, this set will have no end and is not tied to any specific season or era. Rather, it's a cross-generational brand that will issue one card for every player using the vintage 19553 Topps Baseball design -- unless that player changes teams. In other words, this set will continue to grow in size, seemingly forever, with only one card per player/per team.
You can go here for a complete checklist. The highest print run so far is for Yankees rookie Gleyber Torres with 28,550 copies. The highest print run for a retired player is Derek Jeter at 10,692 copies. A quick look at eBay tells us that the Chris Taylor card regularly sells for about $9 to $10 each (including shipping).
