In celebration of Independence Day all teams throughout the league will be wearing special commemorative caps and jersey's starting today to the Fourth of July. Furthermore, matching socks are also available for ballplayers to wear (you can see these at the very bottom of this post). Check out the Dodgers' commemorative uniforms above and below.

Happy Fourth of July! Wednesday's game starts at 5:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 2:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 3:10 PM.

For this Fourth of July a joint color guard representing all five branches of the military from Fort Irwin will be in attendence. A large American flag will be present on the field furing the national anthem -- held by members of T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance for Surviving Families) and members of the Armed Forces. F-15's from the California Air National Guard’s 144th Fighter Wing will fly over the stadium.

Following this evenings game will be an Independence Day holiday fireworks celebration.
