This past weekend we witnessed a couple of exciting games in Milwaukee, and if not for some uncharacteristic errors we may have returned home with a 2-0 series lead. Instead, we head into Game 3 very confident by the fact that we now have home field advantage in what is now a five game series.
As you know, Manny Machado started the scoring for the Dodgers on Friday by hitting a line drive home run run to left-centerfield. For his blast Topps issued a Topps Now card (#875) on Saturday that sold 343 copies.
Then, following a Dodgers Game 2 victory, they issued a Topps Now card yesterday afternoon that celebrated the two-run blast by Justin Turner in the eighth inning of Game 2. This card is now sold out and has a print run of 990 copies. Per the description on the reverse:
With the Dodgers down, 3-2, in the eighth inning, Justin Turner pulled a 2-0 pitch over the left-field wall for the go-ahead home run in Game 2 of the NLCS. The Dodgers beat the Brewers by a score of 4-3 to tie the NLCS at one game apiece. The home run was Turner's seventh Posteseason home run with the Dodgers, tied for third on the franchise list.
