Above is a spring pic I ran across featuring a bunch of Dodgers' in front of the Bear Mountain Inn in New York. As you know, during the wartime 40's the club spent their spring in upstate New York. Unfortunately, I do not know when the photo was taken and the only person I recognize is Leo Durocher -- he's the fellow in the middle wearing the white sweater and unbuttoned coat.

- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1998 the major league baseball owners approved the sale of the Dodgers to Rupert Murdoch's Fox Group. In 2018 Justin Turner suffered a major setback during spring training when he suffered a small non-displaced fracture of his left wrist after being hit by a pitch during Cactus League play by Oakland hurler Kendall Graveman. He would not require surgery.

Per Dave Roberts, Ross Stripling will open the season in the #Dodgers rotation. How long? Depends on Clayton Kershaw's progression— Bill Plunkett (@billplunkettocr) March 19, 2019

- Per Bill Plunkett at The Press-Enterprise; "Three-year odyssey has Brad Miller fighting for spot on Dodgers’ bench."
“The big thing with some of these teams that are going younger – I’ll say politically correct, they’re going younger – a guy like me I’m not flexible. I don’t have options. I’m not a flexible roster piece. If I perform, they have no incentive to reward that whereas the Dodgers are trying to win. If I show I’m deserving of a spot, they’ll find a spot. No question. That’s kind of my mindset.”
- Per Kerry Crowley at the Oroville Mercury-Register; "Meet the ‘Benedict Arnold’ of the Giants-Dodgers rivalry: First-year pro scouting director Zack Minasian said he was "baptized" in Dodger blue."
The man Lasorda considers a traitor is instead first-year director of pro scouting Zack Minasian, who happens to be the godson of the former Dodgers manager.“He said he bleeds Dodger blue,” Minasian said. “I joke I was baptized in it.”
...
“I think the most important thing to me is that we’re striving to be the best at everything we do,” Minasian said. “I want us to have the best scouting department, I want us to have the best analytics department … I want us to always be pushing forward technologically and I think Farhan thinks the same way.”
