Check out this 'Throwback Thursday' little league photo tweeted by Kenley Jansen yesterday. It features himself (I think he's the lad holding the trophy) and fellow CuraƧao native Andrelton Simmons of the Angels.

- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1962 Dodgers left-handed rookie Pete Richert made his major league debut by striking out the first six batters he faced -- tying records for strike outs in an inning (4 K's in the 3rd inning), successive strike outs by a pitcher in his major league debut, and consecutive strikeouts by a relief pitcher. BTW, he also won the game when the Dodgers mounted a comeback by scoring seven runs in the fifth inning.
"I had good stuff and somebody up there likes me," Richert said of his first big league game. "What I mean is that I always say a little prayer when I’m nervous and excited. And I was tonight as I started walking to the mound."

- Via Joe Harris at MLB.com; "Corey Seager hit by pitch, exits early."
“We flushed it out with treatment after that hit-by-pitch and it feels better,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “We get on the flight home, obviously with altitude you’ve got to see how it responds to that, so tomorrow we’ll know more.”
Corey Seager said an ultrasound on his bruised left hamstring did not show damage. It doesn’t sound like he’ll miss much time. “But I guess we’ll see how the flight goes and everything,” he said.— Pedro Moura (@pedromoura) April 11, 2019
- Via Tom Haudricourt at the Journal Sentinal; "The Brewers and Dodgers are about to get even better acquainted with each other, if that's possible."
Beginning Friday night, the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers will play each other as many times over a 10-day period as they did in the National League Championship Series last fall....
“It’s just an interesting thing when you look at it because if one or two guys are hurt, you can miss them for the entirety of the time you play them over the course of the season,” said Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun, well aware the Dodgers’ starting rotation has been depleted by injuries.
- Cards That Never Were shares a bunch of custom fantasy Baseball cards -- indcluding a Walt Alston manager card.
- Per Mike Oz at Yahoo Sports; "Bye, Camo: MLB changes its approach to Memorial Day uniforms."
Gone are the camouflage caps and camouflage accents on jerseys. Instead, MLB is adding a poppy to its Memorial Day uniforms — a symbol that has been used since the 1920s to honor those who died in war — with the phrase “Lest We Forget.” These will appear on teams’ regular uniforms. The caps will feature a special stars-and-stripes Memorial Day patch.
