Kershaw was great... Joc was outstanding... But its Belli who stole the show. Per Rowan Kavner at Dodger Insider:
“He’s just playing incredible baseball,” Roberts said of Bellinger. “All the way, across the board — today with the bat, with the glove — he just impacts the game so many ways.”Cody knocked in three runs -- on two singles and a solo homer -- to lead the Dodgers offense in their 6-5 (boxscore) victory over Milwaukee. He also made a game-saving catch to steal a home run from the equally impressive Christian Yelich.

- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1981 rookie Fernando Valenzuela hurled his third shutout in four starts to start the season -- defeating Houston, 1-0. Best yet, he was responsible for driving in the Dodgers lone run on a single in the fifth inning.

Always impeccably dressed, Newcombe’s suits were usually topped off by a color-coordinated Panama hat. His wife, Karen, passed some of those hats on to Kenley Jansen, Russell Martin, Rich Hill and David Freese among others.

He walked over to McEntee and told her what he thought of her bat.“He picked this particular one up and he looked at me and said, ‘Do you know what this is?’ and I said, ‘Well yeah, it’s a bat,’ and he pulled me off to the side and said, ‘I think you might have something here,’” McEntee recalled.
Her Uncle was former Brooklyn Dodger Joe Hatten.

BT:“It was the first time we had a chance to see your stuff – fastball, slider, change up. It seems as the start progressed you were really honing in on that slider. How do you think that pitch performed yesterday?”JG:”It’s a pitch I have been working on since day one in spring training. Honestly. I think it’s going to be one of my better pitches just because I continue to work on is so it will continue to get better. Late in the game I was just feeling it and I just felt it was getting what I wanted, getting me swings and misses and getting me soft contact. You know what, if is playing the way I want it to play why abandon it? It’s a work in progress but I think it’s going to be a good thing for me in the future.”
