The Dodgers are the first team in the Majors to win 50 games, but it wasn't easy getting here. They've experienced injuries (losing Pollock, Seager and now Hill) and seen their bullpen falter on numerous occasions. Still, they find a way to win. Per Ken Gurnick at MLB.com
“Credit to our guys for shutting the door,” said Taylor. “It was big for us to get a lead early there. We’re playing free and easy, relaxed. We’re a very confident group and we’re playing our best baseball.”BTW, Chris Taylor had a huge game. After struggling for much of the season, Taylor broke out by hitting two home runs (his first multi-homer game of his career), drove in four and scored three times.

- Not the best of news, but considering his injury history this precaution is certainly warranted. As you may know, Rich Hill removed himself from the game after one inning last night. Via Connor Byrne at MLB Trade Rumors -- "Dodgers To Place Rich Hill On Injured List." Ken Gurnick at MLB.com has more:
“I’m pretty confident the MRI will show something, but not in the concerning category of missing a tremendous amount of time,” said Hill, who had Tommy John surgery in 2011. “Time away, get it right and come back and get back to pitching.”...
“The third warmup pitch everything tightened up and I didn’t feel it would be a wise move to keep going,” he said. “I felt it was something more severe than something I can pitch through. Just knowing your body and being smart, as opposed to having something that could be disastrous for the rest of the year.

There it was: "Go get it out of the ocean.""That's when we knew it was going to be a shirt," Bonvissuto said. "As soon as we saw the quote, we had the tag."
"It was probably one of the greatest quotes I've ever heard," Cashman said. "As soon as I heard it, I had the idea."
- It's so crazy it might just work. Via Jeff Passan at ESPN -- "Sources: Rays to explore playing in Montreal." They want to be a two-city team.
The Tampa Bay Rays received permission from Major League Baseball's executive council to explore a plan in which they would play early-season home games in the Tampa Bay area and the remainder of the year in Montreal, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN.
