Padres Series Starts Thursday - Stadium Giveaways, Pregame Info and Other Stuff!



The next homestand starts on Monday against the Washington Nationals. Below are some odds and ends for this upcoming homestand. I will update this should new and updated information become available. Here are some important links:
Please note that the Dodgers are embarking on a new culinary experience at the stadium. Starting this homestand (all the way through August) fans can find the LA Feeds Blue Chef Series located in the right field plaza that will feature a special Chef Series pop-up concession stand. More information is available at the bottom of this post.

Thursday, July 4th at 6:10 PM

Thursday's game starts at 6:10 PM. Auto gates open at 3:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 4:10 PM. In celebration of Independence Day there will be fireworks following the game, so fans will be able to go down onto the field after the game to watch.

Pregame ceremonies will include the Joint Forces Color Guard. A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by US Army Major General Jeff Broadwater. The national anthem and 'God Bless America' will performed by the 300th Army Band. A flyover following the national anthem will be provided by California Air National Guard's 144th Fighter Wing.

Friday's game starts at 7:10 PM. Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM.

It is Friday Night Fireworks (we get fireworks two days-in-a-row), so fans will be able to go down onto the field after the game to watch the spectacle. Go here for more information on Friday Night Fireworks. The theme of the evening will be Paul McCartney - who will be performing in concert at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, July 13th.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a Dodgers Cody Bellinger jersey. See it on the right

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation will hold a silent auction on the Club Level outside the Vin Scully Press Box during today's game, and new for 2019, fans can bid on the unique memorabilia using MLB’s Ballpark App. Also new for 2019, fans will be able to purchase tickets for LADF’s 50-50 raffle using their credit cards. LADF will also continue to offer ribbon board messages as a fundraiser in 2019.

Sunday's game starts at 1:10 PM. Auto gates open at 10:40 AM, and stadium gates open at 11:00 AM.

It is Jewish Community Day at Dodger Stadium. Folks who order a special ticket package will get an exclusive Dodgers' Jewish Community Day kippah. See that on the right. If not already sold out go here for more information.

After this afternoon's game kids, ages 14 and under, will have the opportunity to run the bases of Dodger Stadium -- dubbed 'Kids Run the Bases'. To participate, go to the centerfield area in the outfield pavilion section of the stadium.

This homestand begins a new culinary experience at Dodger Stadium. In the Right Field Plaza fans can find the LA Feeds Blue Chef Series pop-up concession stand that will include renowned chefs, local ingredients, and diverse flavors representing the neighborhoods of LA to Dodger Stadium.

For this entire week (July 2-7) Actor, restaurateur, and Dodger diehard Danny Trejo and business partners Ash Shah and Jeff Georgino will serve up their signature street tacos and authentic Mexican fare.

“Dodgers fans know we’ve added more fresh, locally-inspired dining options over the last few seasons, and the Chef Series builds on that focus with a true taste of LA’s restaurant community,” said Ryan Evans, Executive Chef for Levy at Dodger Stadium. “We’re fortunate to have some amazing, iconic restaurants and neighborhood joints are breaking through in a big way. We wanted Chef Series to showcase both those recognizable, craved flavors, and up-and-coming restaurants with really unique concepts.”

Below is a listing of the other foods that will be arriving over the coming weeks.

  • Border Grill + SocaloJuly 19-24: Award-winning chefs, restaurateurs, and authors Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken bring a dueling menu inspired by their iconic Border Grill restaurants and their newest venture Socalo, an all-day canteen serving coastal Latin cuisine, opening this summer
  • Park’s BBQAugust 1-7: Chef-Owner Jenee Kim delivers a taste of Park’s BBQ’s acclaimed Korean BBQ and sizzling inventive takes on traditional Korean fare made with the finest meats and produce
  • Boo’sAugust 20-25: Owner John Ahn and his son and business partner Andrew came to LA from Philly to sling the city’s most authentic, mouthwatering cheesesteaks made with the freshest ingredients
