- Yeah, this was a lot of wasted money. Via Cody Bashore at Dodgers Digest -- "Little pay off to Dodgers’ 2013-16 run of international signings."
- Per Mike Oz at Yahoo Sports -- "Rap star Megan Thee Stallion suing ex-MLB star Carl Crawford for more than $1M."
Meg’s success has aligned her with music industry heavy hitters like Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, but she has to pay a cut of everything to Crawford and his label because of her original deal. She said on social media over the weekend that she wanted to renegotiate her deal with the label, but that’s when things went sideways and, she says, 1501 Certified Entertainment tried to block her from releasing new music.

- Via Matt Borelli at Dodger Blue -- "Mookie Betts, Justin Turner Created ‘Kangaroo Court Fine System’ For Mistakes Made During Workouts & Cactus League Games."
Mookie Betts (outfielders) and Turner (infielders) have established a ‘kangaroo court’ fine system for mistakes made during drills or in games this spring. Each player is keeping a tally on a sheet of paper at his locker and collecting money from violators. “It’s great,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.“It’s just that incentive to pay attention to detail – whether it’s hit a cutoff man, catch a grounder, get the signs. So now we have a kitty that’s a small kitty that is going to continue to grow throughout the season. I just liked that accountability part of it. When one of your star players speaks out, it’s a lot easier for those guys to kind of follow along and have fun with it but also understanding the message behind it.”
