Past and Present Dodgers' Respond on Twitter

Accolades are coming in from all around the Baseball world regarding the recent hiring of Dave Roberts as the new Dodger manager; including congratulations and encouragement from several former and current Dodgers'.  Check some of them out below:
The former Dodger broadcaster is obviously happy with the choice... And so is former teammate David Ross:

Saxy is on board:
And so is Pedro:
The last Dodger GM to win a championship is also behind the pick:
Heck, even the Mayor loves Roberts:
As for the man who was also in the running for the job, Gabe Kapler also throws in his support:
Justin Tuner with his two cents:
How about Hairston:
Here's text of what Jerry wrote on instagram:
Would like to congratulate Dave Roberts on becoming the next Dodger manager. Having known David for almost 20 years, there wasn't a Managerial candidate more deserving. As a player he was extremely hard working, intelligent and has always been deeply respected. Got everything out of his ability and I'm sure he'll get the most out of his players. Great teams usually take on the personality of their manager. If that's the case, I'm extremely excited to see Dave's brand of baseball
Brett Anderson couldn't help but crack a little joke:
Same with Kiké Hernandez:

Not only that, I couldn't help but make another fantasy Baseball card in his honor (check that out above).  It features a photo taken by Jon SooHoo that was originally taken during the 2004 season of Jose Lima giving Roberts a fantastic hug.

As for Roberts thoughts about rejoining the Dodgers here is what he had to say, via Ken Gurnick at MLB.com:
"It's hard for me to put into words what it means to be named manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers," Roberts said. "This is truly the opportunity of a lifetime. The Dodgers are the ground-breaking franchise of Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Sandy Koufax, Maury Wills, Fernando Valenzuela and Hideo Nomo. When I put on this uniform as a player, I understood the special responsibility to honor those that played before me as well as the amazing bond between the Dodgers and their fans. I feel that I have now come full circle in my career and there is plenty of unfinished business left in L.A."
Yeah, I feel really good about this, and I gotta add that my excitement for the upcoming season has just gone into overdrive.
