Contracts to our All-Star! Cody Bellinger received the most votes during the “The Primary” portion of All-Star voting and finished up in second place, behind Christian Yellich, in overall NL voting. This is his second career All-Star nod (2017) and his very first fan election.

- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1907 then Yankees catcher Branch Rickey (who would be known for signing Jackie Robinson decades later) saw twelve Senator runners steal a base on him. In 1969 the Dodgers and Don Drysdale shut down the Padres at Jack Murphy Stadium by the lopsided score of 19-0. They break a LA Dodgers all-time record for runs scored in a game. In 2008 the Dodgers were no-hit by the Angels (Jered Weaver and Jose Arredondo), but still won the game, 1-0. The lone run was scored in the fifth inning when a couple of errors and a sacrifice fly by Blake DeWitt scored the eventual winning run.
- Happy Birthday, Fred Miller, Al Downing & Jose Flores!
- I'm loving this guy's videos. Per Jomboy Media on YouTube -- "Kiké Hernández hits a homer then blows some kisses to the guys who were heckling him, a breakdown." (Video Link)

- This would be torturous. Per a tweet from Bill Plunkett:
#Dodgers Kenley Jansen has been drinking 8 liters of water each of the past few days to avoid dehydration at Colorado altitude. “I’m tired of pissing, believe me,” he said.— Bill Plunkett (@billplunkettocr) June 27, 2019

- Via Gabriela Milian at ABC7 -- "Former Dodger, Yasiel Puig, opens community house for kids in San Fernando."
"I love the community because all the time and every day when I go to play baseball I look into the stadium and a lot of people is coming to support myself and teammates," said Puig. "We need to give back to the community and giving love to all the fans."...
"Traded by the Dodgers he still didn't have to continue with this project. But it was never about just being here in LA, it was about the children the entire time," said Councilman Robert Gonzales.
- LOL! Per Lauren Theisen at Deadspin -- "Dominant Dodgers Reliever Russell Martin Threw His First Career Strikeout."
Making the second mound appearance of his career, Martin delivered for his trusting manager. He painted a masterpiece of an eighth inning, forcing pop-outs from Caleb Joseph and Jarrod Dyson while sandwiching a devastating strikeout to Christian Walker in between. If Walker had struck out like this against a position player throwing in garbage time, I’d tell him to hang his head in despair. But there’s no shame in losing valiantly to one of the Dodgers’ best relief pitchers. Those 90 mph heaters high in the strike zone were simply untouchable.
- I don't know what to think of this. Via Dan Frosch and Aruna Viswanatha at The Wall Street Journal -- "DOJ Examines Whether FBI Officials Acted Inappropriately by Attending Dodgers Game."
The top FBI officials in attendance at Dodger Stadium that day were at a joint command center that had been set up inside the Stadium Club, a restaurant at the ballpark, a person familiar with the matter said. According to the Dodgers, tickets for that particular playoff game in the area where the command post was located cost between $100 and $138....
Agents have been involved in a wide-ranging investigation into allegations that the Dodgers and other baseball teams paid middlemen who may have paid bribes to foreign government officials to help smuggle Cuban players into the U.S. That investigation, which has been led by the FBI in Miami but involves other offices well, is in its early stages and it is unclear if it will lead to charges.
- Another 'Diamond in the Rough?' Via a tweet from Alex Freedman:
Additionally, the Dodgers have signed Jon Kemmer out of the Mexican League and assigned him to OKC.— Alex Freedman (@azfreedman) June 27, 2019
Kemmer was slashing an incredible .355/.454/.714 with 21 homers and 49 RBI in 58 games. Spent last 3 seasons at Triple-A, mostly with @FresnoGrizzlies.
