- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1961 Cardinals pitcher Larry Jackson suffers a broken jaw when hit by a fragment of Duke Snider's broken bat during a spring training game. He would be out for four weeks. In 2012 Frank McCourt agrees to sell the Dodgers to a group headed by Stan Kasten, Guggenheim Partners and Magic Johnson for $2 billion. He also sold the parking lots to the same group for $150 million (while retaining partial ownership).

- Per Paul Lukas at UniWatch -- "Hospital Workers to Suit Up in Official MLB Gear."
Nice story yesterday out of Pennsylvania, where Fanatics announced that they’ve stopped manufacturing MLB jerseys and are instead converting their operations to make hospital masks and gowns out of MLB uniform fabric. The resulting gear is being donated to hospitals in Pennsylvania, with a goal of expanding the distribution to New Jersey and New York, where hospitals have been slammed with Covid-19 victims and are in desperate need of supplies.

It is in recent drafts, 2015-16, though, in which the Dodgers have separated themselves. Eleven of the 163 draftees from 2015-16 who played in the majors last year were picked by the Dodgers — and there is impact in those choices. They include Los Angeles’ ace, Walker Buehler, two soon-to-be rotation members in Tony Gonsolin and Dustin May, two positional starters in catcher Will Smith and second baseman Gavin Lux, a versatile bench piece in Matt Beaty and a key to acquiring Yu Darvish from the Rangers in Willie Calhoun.
- Via Local SYR.com -- "Former Le Moyne Dolphin Josiah Gray is eager to start his second season in LA Dodgers organization."
“For the time now, I am miles away but I am just hoping that everyone is alright. Making sure that my family is alright and my friends are alright. You know everyone gets through this safe and sound, ” says Gray....
“I have been just working out here at home, and throwing with a buddy. Doing the things I would be doing at the facility just in different spots out here in Arizona. Besides that, I am just hanging out, watching some Netflix, playing some video games and just trying to keep life as normal as can be,” said Gray.
